For the autumn social event of the year, you will be hard pressed to find a bash and venue more glamorous than the Bal des Etoiles which will take place from the 5th to the 7th of November this year in Paris, where else, at the Pre Catelan in the Bois de Boulogne. It is the 15th ball of its kind since it was founded and launched by the Princess Catherine Colonna de Stigliano. Incidentally, the hostess is also responsible for another very popular and distinguished do: the ball in Monaco in springtime.
The distinctly elegant Bal des Etoiles promises to be a highlight of the season and brings together an interesting mix of people from all continents well reflected in the origins of the different members of the committee and supporting committee. The credo of the ball organisers is: "honour, valour and romance and to embrace and strive to preserve an elegant universe".
Besides offering a wonderful programme during three days starting with informal drinks Friday evening, the gala dinner and ball on Saturday evening and ending on a light note with brunch on Sunday for those with great stamina, the ball is dedicated to a worthy cause: Pain without Borders, a young French charity that helps to alleviate suffering in the poorest countries. Phillips de Pury is holding an auction on their behalf during the gala and anyone can donate through the ball website if they wish to do so.
Spoil yourself while helping others and enjoy a fabulous weekend in the city of light!
