...You save the date for this british sporting event, the London's Head of the River race on sunday 2nd April where 400 crews from around the globe Austria, Italy, Australia to name a few, will take to the water of London's Thames to compete in this historic rowing event on the 4.25 mile (6.8 km) Championship Course, the same of the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race, but unlike this one the Head of the river is raced on an ebb tide from Mortlake to Putney.
The starting time for the race is different every year and depends on the tide.
The last year's winner will start first followed at 10 seconds intervals by other crews and finally by the new entries.
This will be a fun and unique way to celebrate the start of Spring where all, visitors and Londoners, have the chance to enjoy their Pimm's in front of a picturesque viewing.
