The Colour of Bollywood

Great acting, screenplay and picture in this interesting movie with a soundtrack with moving rhythm, The slumdog MillionaireDanny Boyle, already director of Trainspotting has gone to India to play this  film not to be missed.

The result is a hymn to life and love where the protagonist – a boy coming from the Mumbay slums -, participate at the show Who wants to be Millionaire with extraordinary luck and skills. Being just  a poor orphan his knowledge of all those answers sounds bizarre and for this reason is  believed and treated as a cheater becoming victim of social prejudices.

But the story gives him  a magic game of flashbacks, coincidences and links to his complicated and intense life in a realistic and colourful Mumbay whose  characters seduces  us scene after scene.

With 10 Academy Award Nominations and the People’s Choice Award at the 2008 Toronto Film Festival, the film has taken home 8 Oscars 2009 revealing the triumph of the unique style of Danny Boyle.
